Can't go wrong

This is a product where you get what you pay for from the manufacturer. If you want the smoothest espresso from a low maintenance, timeless espresso machine, this is the machine for the job. You can't go wrong with one of these if you know what you're doing.

Practice practice practice

Yes you have to practice and work-it for a time. But it leads you to understand the brewing process, grinding coffee and buying good coffee. La Pavoni is not only a work horse but also a teacher, how good could that be!

Compact, intuitive and well made!

The fact is La Pavoni Professional is small in size, and it can easily fit in the smallest of the spaces effortlessly. The piston setup provides you hands-on experience on the espresso making and with time you will know how the perfect espresso tastes. Beautiful chrome body and lever operation make it a breeze to do. In the end, it’s not the press-button-and-ready coffee model. You need to put in the effort and learn how to use the La Pavoni Professional Machine. The end result is very satisfying. Overall, I would recommend this espresso machine.

Well Built Machine

Very nice machine. Heavily and well-built. Looks like it should last forever. Good price. Works very well, just as advertised. Only problem is the cappuccinos are so delicious that I need to switch to decaf, or I'll never sleep again. Easy to drink too many!

Great espresso

I have now owned my La Pavoni PC-16 for a bit over two years. I researced this machine heavily before deciding to purchase it. I was well aware that it would take lots of practice and time to perfect. Getting the right grind was every bit as challenging as learning to operate the machine itself. However, once I did, I have not been disappointed. I was aware from previous reviews that this machine was more geared towards great espresso and not so much towards steaming the milk. And that is exactly what I have come to learn. I primarily drink espresso and that is why I prefer this machine. It is true that steaming the milk is very inconsistent. For the most part though I have been very satisfied. So far for me, the parts have held up relatively well. I do wish the machine were a bit heavier and not so prone to tipping over or forward. I have not noticed any rust issues. Everything seems to be in fine working order. The espresso continues to not disappoint. I have been exceptionally happy with my purchase and I feel that my research prior to purchasing paid off.

Back To Basics - Don't Overcomplicate a Good Thing

The best espresso machine I ever owned.

Yes it is manual and it does take time to get to know each other. But it makes the best espresso and latte every single day. It's fast. It's reliable. It's consistent.

After several other semi-automatic machines which all failed for one reason or another I was tired of bad design and poor construction. Time to get back to the basics. Fewer things that can fail or go wrong.

I love the amount of steam it produces for a good foamy milk every time. And once you have the temperature and grind dialed in, every pull has the right amount of crema.

Two things that could be better, but in now way take away from the result: The steam control knob is a hard to reach place making for awkward handling. And the base is made of plastic rather than metal, so the unit is light and slides around during the pull if not stabilized.
